I offer the following surgical endocrine procedures:
Thyroidectomy |
The thyroid gland produces hormones that are necessary for keeping up the normal metabolic function of human cells. Sometimes the gland produces nodules that are generally benign and a very small percentage can be cancerous. The thyroid gland is investigated by doing a blood test to check its function, and an ultrasound scan tells us about the nature of the thyroid gland enlargement and morphology of its nodules. I offer surgical treatment for thyroid conditions in the form of the removal of either one lobe (thyroid lobectomy) or most of the thyroid gland (total thyroidectomy).

Minimal access parathyroid surgery |
Parathyroid surgery is usually performed using a collar incision in the neck. However, in minimal access parathyroid surgery, the incision is small and the procedure is carried out as a day case, resulting in faster recovery and leaving a smaller surgical scar.
